Who we are:Four years ago, Dragonfruit set out to bring together some of the most talented visual storytellers, viral video strategists, and big-name clients to change the way we create and consume content on You Tube.
The result has been bigger than we could have imagined—over a billion organic views and hundreds of millions of subscribers generated for creators like MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Mark Manson, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, and organizations like Y Combinator, e.l.f. Beauty, WHOOP, Click Up, and the Center for Humane Technology.
Unlike other agencies, we don’t chase empty views. We believe You Tube should create real value—content that is not just engaging, but genuinely educational and impactful. Our goal is to help build a more thoughtful, high-quality creator ecosystem.
The Role: Post-Production Recruiter As Dragonfruit’s Post-Production Recruiter, you will own hiring for the most critical part of our output: video editing and post-production.
This role is focused specifically on recruiting Video Editors and Post-Production Managers (PPMs)—the people responsible for turning raw footage into world-class You Tube content.
This is not a typical recruiting role. You will be expected to deeply understand what makes a great You Tube edit and act as a quality gatekeeper for all post-production hires.
You will own the pipeline end-to-end—from sourcing to offer—and play a direct role in evaluating candidate work. That includes reviewing trial assignments, identifying strong vs. weak edits, and helping define what “top-tier” looks like across our editing team.
What you’ll own:Full-cycle recruiting for Video Editors and Post-Production Managers Sourcing top-tier editing talent globally (including passive candidates) Reviewing applications, portfolios, and hands-on trial edits Evaluating candidates’ work for:Pacing, retention, and storytelling Visual clarity and structure Use of graphics, motion, and sound design Overall You Tube performance potential Running screening interviews and delivering clear candidate recommendations Building and refining edit evaluation rubrics and hiring standards Managing high-volume pipelines (often 50–100+ candidates at once) Partnering closely with Post-Production leadership to calibrate on quality Coordinating with external recruiters for volume hiring where needed Improving recruiting systems (AI screening, automation, pipeline tracking)
What we’re looking for:2–5+ years of recruiting experience (creative, media, or production roles preferred) Strong understanding of video editing fundamentals — you must be able to tell the difference between average and excellent work Experience reviewing creative portfolios or trial assignments High attention to detail and strong judgment Ability to manage complex, high-volume hiring pipelines Excellent written communication (candidate summaries, outreach, feedback) Strong sourcing ability — you know how to find great talent, not just wait for it Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, systems-building environment
Non-negotiable:You must be able to confidently review and evaluate editing work. If you cannot clearly articulate what makes an edit great (or not), this role will not be a fit.
Bonus points:Background in video editing, post-production, or You Tube content Experience hiring editors or creative production roles Familiarity with retention-driven You Tube editing styles Experience using AI tools to improve recruiting workflows Agency or client-services hiring experience
Perks:Fully remote (work from anywhere) Performance bonuses and milestone-based rewards Unlimited book reimbursements Paid volunteering day Work directly with top creators and brands on You Tube Be part of a mission-driven company focused on meaningful content
If you’re excited about setting the quality bar for world-class You Tube editing—and building the team that makes it happen—apply today.
