Quality Engineer (PQC SMT)


1. Inspection & Reporting
• Perform inspections at all stages: incoming, in-process (IPQC), outgoing (OQC), and FQC.
• Record inspection results, defect rates, and maintain quality reports (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
• Share reports (Mass Production, Yield, OQC/DPPM, FAI, MBR, MIUI verification) with stakeholders.


2. Quality Planning & Documentation
• Prepare and maintain SIP, CTQs, QCP, PFMEA, inspection standards, and key parameter documents.
• Ensure timely updates of project quality data and guidelines.


3. Line & Operator Compliance
• Verify operator and inspector compliance with SOPs.
• Provide training and retraining in case of inconsistencies.
• Certify line body, machines, and fixtures against ODM/customer requirements.


4. Audits & Certifications
• Conduct internal audits by model standards and ensure timely closure of NCs.
• Coordinate external audits with ODM/customers and close all NCs with documented evidence.
• Ensure production lines are qualified for customer audits, with no abnormalities or risks of mismatch.


5. Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
• Investigate abnormalities (materials, equipment, processes, operations) and create CAPAs.
• Follow up on CAPA implementation with production and ensure sustainable results.
• Prevent recurrence of failures in production and the market.


6. Early Warning Process (EWP)
• Collect and analyze defect data during the new model climbing phase.
• Lead meetings with ODM and cross-functional teams.
• Confirm root causes, implement improvements, and prepare final EWP summary reports.


7. Yield & Performance Management
• Monitor PY & FPY, push engineering and Maintenance for improvements, and validate results.
• Backtrack and transfer lessons learned for future projects.


8. Customer Quality & Market Failures
• Address customer quality complaints, provide data, and ensure corrective actions.
• Follow up CFT for market failures and provide CAPA to customers on time.
• Ensure no repeated failures after corrective measures.


9. Tools & Equipment
• Ensure testing equipment and tools are well-maintained, calibrated, and aligned with ODM standards.


10. Team Management & Development
• Conduct training and risk assessment sessions for staff and line leaders (ME, TE, PE, PD).
• Approve and monitor training plans.
• Conduct appraisals and performance reviews of subordinates.


11. Cross-Functional & ODM Coordination
• Collaborate with ME, TE, PE, PD, and ODM teams for data sharing, risk assessments, and quality verifications.
• Ensure proper communication and documentation exchange with customers/ODMs
 


Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a general business diploma is a plus, and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.1-3 years of experience in the same field or electronics manufacturing field, 2 years in the same positionProficient in Microsoft Office or related software; using ERP is a plus  Very Good English is a must
