Role Description The Host/Hostess Restaurant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hurghada at The Cascades Golf Resort, SPA & Thalasso. The host/hostess welcomes guests upon arrival, manages reservations and walk-in seating, and guides guests to their tables while ensuring a smooth flow of service. Daily responsibilities include answering phone calls, providing accurate information about restaurant offerings and hours, and coordinating with the serving team to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized reception area, addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a professional manner, and supporting special events or busy service periods as needed.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a friendly and welcoming environment for guests. Experience handling reservations and guest seating, including basic use of reservation or table management systems. Clear and professional communication skills, both in-person and over the phone; proper phone etiquette is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting, maintaining composure and professionalism during peak hours. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple guest requests at once. Prior experience in hospitality, restaurants, or front-of-house roles is an advantage. Basic English language skills; additional languages are a plus for serving international guests. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by resort operations.
