Lead the Electrical Technical Office team by ensuring all electrical engineering designs, shop drawings, material submittals, technical coordination, and project documentation are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with project specifications, local codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the Electrical Technical Office engineers.* Prepare, review, and approve electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.* Review electrical design drawings and identify discrepancies, conflicts, or value engineering opportunities.* Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current disciplines to resolve clashes.* Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, and samples before submission to consultants.* Manage RFIs (Requests for Information), technical queries, and consultant correspondence.* Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, NFPA, IEC, and local authority regulations.* Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials meet project requirements and are approved.* Support the construction team by providing technical solutions during execution.* Participate in project planning and monitor technical deliverables against project schedules.* Review BOQs, electrical quantities, and cost implications of design changes.* Identify and implement value engineering proposals without compromising quality.* Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.* Monitor document control procedures and ensure all revisions are properly managed.* Mentor and develop junior technical office engineers.* Prepare technical reports and progress updates for management.
Authority
* Approve technical documents before submission.* Assign work and monitor the performance of Technical Office engineers.* Recommend engineering solutions and design modifications.* Coordinate directly with consultants regarding technical issues.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.* Professional Engineer registration is preferred.* PMP certification is an advantage.* Membership in the Engineers Syndicate.
Experience
* 15 years of experience in electrical engineering.* Minimum 3 years in a Technical Office leadership role.* Experience in commercial developments, malls, mixed-use projects
