Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based at Delta DCM’s factory in 10th of Ramadan. The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and refine mechanical designs for HVAC units, including creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings. Daily tasks include performing design calculations, selecting components, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements, and collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams. The role involves reviewing prototypes, supporting testing and validation, and implementing design improvements based on feedback and field performance. The engineer will also maintain design documentation, adhere to relevant standards, and contribute to continuous optimization of product cost and reliability. Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering skills, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to HVAC systems and components. Candidates should possess Machine Design skills, including experience with mechanisms, structural analysis, and material selection for mechanical assemblies. Candidates should possess Product Design skills, with experience translating functional requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions. Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including proficiency in common 2D and 3D CAD tools Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, and prior experience in mechanical or HVAC product design. Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with HVAC systems, manufacturing processes, engineering standards, tolerance and fit analysis, and basic FEA or simulation tools. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams are important.
