Roles & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate effective project implementation by engaging stakeholders, achieving quality targets, integrating gender equality and youth inclusion, strengthening community participation, managing work plans and budgets, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures, and advancing youth rights through gender-transformative interventions.
Facilitate community mobilization and engagement, maintain effective communication with communities to support project delivery, and raise awareness among stakeholders and partners on organizational policies, strategies, procedures, values, and expected behaviours.
Ensure timely and quality project implementation, monitor progress and address gaps, promote evidence-based programming, strengthen learning and knowledge management, maintain beneficiary tracking systems, prepare timely donor-compliant reports, and document and share best practices for learning and sustainability.
Develop and update project plans and budgets, monitor expenditures to ensure budget compliance, promote adherence to donor requirements and agreements, and prepare accurate and timely financial reports in line with donor regulations.
Strengthen project delivery by identifying and building the capacity of partners, fostering a positive team environment, supporting partner staff performance and development, and promoting continuous learning and improvement at both institutional and community levels.
Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements during project implementation, and promptly communicate emerging risks to relevant stakeholders for timely action.
Ensure compliance with Plan International’s Child Protection and Gender Equality policies, including staff awareness and reporting procedures.
You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.
What we are looking for:
Someone with relevant university degree (development studies, project management, economic empowerment, social sciences, M&E, or any other relevant qualification). Master's degree is desirable.
Someone with proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and ability to build and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
You should demonstrate experience working collaboratively managing projects with skills in effective partnership management, financial/budget management.
Someone with ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and with remote teams.
Someone with strong understanding of gender responsive programming and meaningful child participation in programs.
You should knowledgeable on effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Research systems and processes.
Someone able to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership.
Someone experienced in engaging with the international donor community and developing donor reports for grants.
You should be experienced in adolescents/youth programming especially economic empowerment program is considered a strong asset.
You should have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a matrix environment.
Someone with excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and public speaking.
Someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask while working on projects with varying activities, objectives, and deliverables.
Someone with good negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to create a strong sense of purpose within the portfolio and with stakeholders.
Someone with sound judgment and decision-making in complex situations.
Someone aware of the impact on others and adjusting own behavior accordingly.
You should be conversant with Microsoft office suite, especially Word and Excel .
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
