About the Role:We are looking for an innovative and experienced Research & Development (R&D) Manager to lead the development of new cosmetic and personal care products while enhancing existing formulations. The successful candidate will oversee product innovation from concept to commercialization, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards while meeting market trends and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the research, formulation, and development of new cosmetic and personal care products. Improve and optimize existing formulations for performance, stability, quality, and cost efficiency. Manage product development projects from concept through laboratory trials, pilot batches, validation, and commercial production. Ensure all formulations comply with applicable regulatory requirements, GMP, and quality standards. Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance evaluations of new products. Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Procurement, Marketing, and Sales teams to support successful product launches. Evaluate and qualify new raw materials and suppliers. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, consumer preferences, and regulatory updates. Maintain accurate formulation records, technical documentation, and product specifications. Lead and mentor the R&D team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Support troubleshooting and technical investigations related to manufacturing and product performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field. A Master's degree is an advantage.7–10 years of experience in Research & Development within the cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry. Minimum 5 years of experience in an R&D leadership or managerial role. Strong knowledge of cosmetic formulation, raw materials, product stability, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, cosmetic regulations, and product registration requirements. Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and formulation/documentation systems. Fluent in Arabic with a good command of English.
