Role Description The Accounting Supervisor role at Hi-Tech Apparel is a full-time, on-site position based in Ismailia. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end closing processes. This role will supervise accounting team members, review journal entries, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with company policies and relevant standards. The Accounting Supervisor will monitor budgets, analyze financial data, and support the preparation of financial statements to inform management decisions. The role will also involve coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting audit activities, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and control. Managing the full month-end and year-end closing process for the Egypt entity. Preparing accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and Group IFRS requirements. Consolidating and submit financial reports on time to HQ Finance team . Ensuring timely and accurate filing of all Egyptian tax obligations: corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and payroll tax. Liaising with the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) and external auditors. Monitoring changes in local tax law and advise management on compliance implications. Supporting the transfer pricing documentation for inter company transactions with Group HQ and the Factory subsidiary (if required). Managing inter company billing, reconciliation, and settlement with Group entities. Monitoring foreign currency (USD/EGP) exposure and support FX risk. Overseeing cash flow forecasting and working capital management for the Egypt entity. Managing relationships with local banks and ensure compliance with CBE (Central Bank of Egypt) regulations. Designing and enforce internal control policies and procedures. Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Coordinating with the Group ERP/accounting system and ensure data accuracy. Leading, mentoring, and developing the local accounting team. Leading the annual budget preparation and quarterly re-forecast for the Egypt subsidiary. Providing variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and highlight key business drivers. Supporting Group HQ with ad-hoc financial analysis and management reporting. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related systems used for recording and managing financial transactions. Well-developed Analytical Skills for identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in accounting processes. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage. Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role Deep knowledge of Egyptian tax law, EAS, and regulatory requirements Experience in a manufacturing field Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) Previous experience in a supervisory or senior accounting role, ideally within manufacturing or a similarly complex operational environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams. Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and continuous improvement in financial controls. Experience in a multinational or group-structure organization Familiarity with IFRS reporting requirements Background in garment, textile, or consumer goods industry
