We are seeking an experienced and visionary Design Director to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this executive leadership position, you will provide comprehensive oversight of all design management activities, ensuring seamless alignment with program objectives, timely project delivery, and full compliance with the client requirements. As Design Director, you will drive strategic design initiatives, lead a talented design team, and serve as a key stakeholder in organizational decision-making processes.

• Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for all design management activities and initiatives
• Ensure all design projects align with program objectives and organizational goals
• Monitor project timelines and delivery schedules to guarantee on-time completion of design milestones
• Maintain strict compliance with the client requirements and industry standards throughout all design operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop the design team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define design specifications and project requirements
• Review and approve design deliverables, ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance
• Manage design budgets and allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects
• Communicate design strategy and progress to senior leadership and external partners
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices in design management
• Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, and documentation protocols
• Evaluate emerging design trends and technologies to maintain competitive advantage

• Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in design management or related executive leadership roles
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale design programs and initiatives
• Strong expertise in strategic planning and program alignment
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent project management skills with proven ability to deliver on schedule and within budget
• Advanced proficiency in design software and industry-standard tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering design sector
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern business practices and regulatory environments (preferred)
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities effectively
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain comprehensive documentation
• Experience with cross-functional team coordination and collaboration
