Role Description This is a full-time, Part time or Freelancer, on-site role based in Giza for an English Second Language Instructor. The instructor will plan and deliver engaging English lessons to learners at various proficiency levels, using communicative and learner-centered teaching methods. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, facilitating classroom activities, monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The instructor will also support curriculum implementation, participate in training or team meetings, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Instructors are expected to uphold SYE’s teaching standards, maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, and help foster an active English-speaking community. Qualifications Strong English Teaching and general Teaching skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners. Experience or formal training in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or similar methodologies. Curriculum Development skills to design, adapt, and improve lesson plans and learning materials. Foundational knowledge of Linguistics to support accurate language instruction and error correction. Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) are strongly preferred. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills and clear classroom presentation skills. Ability to manage a classroom, work collaboratively with colleagues, and respond to learner needs with patience and professionalism. Willingness to work on-site in Giza and maintain a flexible schedule as needed for classes and community activities.
