- General Ledger Maintenance:
Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger on a daily and monthly basis. - Month-End and Year-End Closing:
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; ensure all entries are posted before financial closing deadlines. - Account Reconciliations:
Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany transactions to maintain accurate balances. - Fixed Assets Accounting:
Record and monitor additions, disposals, and depreciation of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with company capitalization policy. - Expense Analysis and Cost Control:
Review and analyze expenses to ensure accuracy, proper allocation, and adherence to budgets. - Support for Financial Statements Preparation:
Assist in preparing trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet with detailed supporting schedules. - Tax and Compliance Support:
Prepare and submit required information for VAT, WHT, and income tax compliance, in coordination with the tax team. - Audit Coordination:
Provide all necessary documentation and explanations to external and internal auditors during audit reviews. - Policy and Procedure Adherence:
Ensure accounting transactions comply with company policies, Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), and internal controls. - Continuous Improvement:
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in FMCG or distribution companies.Strong understanding of Egyptian Accounting Standards and financial reporting principles.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics).Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
