We are seeking a highly skilled Process & Hydraulic Design Engineer to join our wastewater treatment design team. The ideal candidate will be a civil or chemical/environmental engineer with strong experience in the process design and hydraulic design of sewage treatment plants, covering both municipal and industrial applications.
The engineer will be responsible for developing complete process designs, including mass balance, biological and mechanical calculations, equipment sizing, hydraulic profiles, and process documentation according to international standards.
Develop process design basis, mass balance, and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) for new sewage treatment plants and upgrades.Prepare detailed hydraulic calculations and hydraulic profiles across all treatment stages.Perform sizing and selection of tanks, aeration systems, blowers, pumps, and other process equipment.Conduct oxygen demand, sludge production, SRT, F/M ratio, and other biological process calculations.Prepare design reports, technical data sheets, and process narratives for tender and execution phases.Optimize designs for energy efficiency, footprint reduction, and operational simplicity.Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure accurate integration of process requirements.Review and evaluate process designs from vendors or subcontractors.Support the proposal team with technical inputs for tenders and quotations.Stay up to date with Egyptian environmental regulations and international standards (Metcalf & Eddy, ATV-DVWK, EPA, etc.).
