Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drawings and specifications for laser cutting machines, covering mechanical components, electrical systems, and controls.
- Utilize CAD software to produce precise 2D and 3D models.
- Select suitable materials for machine parts based on properties, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility with laser cutting processes.
- Design machines for optimal performance, focusing on speed, accuracy, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Identify and resolve design flaws or performance issues during design and manufacturing stages.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing staff throughout the design and production cycle.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date design documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:Engineering Degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.CAD Proficiency: Strong experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent software.Laser Cutting Knowledge: Solid understanding of laser cutting technology, including laser types, cutting methods, and material properties.Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze technical challenges and develop practical solutions.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and documentation.Attention to Detail: Commitment to precision and accuracy in all design and documentation tasks.
