- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, approvals, and tracking.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms for steel products and related materials.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance while maintaining strong, long-term vendor relationships.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and alternative materials.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (production, logistics, and finance) to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or invoice disputes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance procurement processes and reduce costs.
Strong professional experience in procurement and purchasing management (minimum of 10 years; senior-level experience preferred).Previous experience in the metal industries or similar manufacturing sectors is a strong advantage.Solid knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management.Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, with hands-on experience in Odoo preferred.Knowledge of steel products or construction materials is an added advantage.Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
