Business Development Manager

1. Market Development & Strategy

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities in target sectors.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products or territories.
  • Prepare detailed business plans to support growth strategies.

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Identify, approach, and convert potential clients in both domestic and international markets.
  • Drive B2B sales initiatives to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, and contractual agreements in line with company pricing policies.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to support client acquisition.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, agents, and distributors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Quality, Logistics) to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between clients and the technical/commercial teams.

4. Reporting & Forecasting

  • Provide regular updates to the Commercial Director on market activity, sales pipeline, and customer feedback.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts, budgets, and business development reports.
  • Track and report on KPIs and ROI of business development activities.

5. Product & Technical Knowledge

  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's chemical products, applications, and technical advantages.
  • Contribute to the strategic goal of product diversification by identifying new applications for existing products.

Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and technical seminars to stay current with market developments.


Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field.Master’s degree or similar commercial qualification is a plus.Minimum 8 - 12 years of business development, sales, or commercial related experience within the chemical, Petrochemical, or manufacturing industry.Proven track record of developing new markets and achieving sales targets.Ability to travel for international business trips.
