Credit Controller

  • Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly aging reports.
     
  • Monitor and control monthly and cash collections while ensuring timely and up-to-date recording of all transactions.
     
  • Follow up on customer balances and ensure alignment with company credit policies through regular AR turnover and DSO analysis.
     
  • Continuously review customer credit limits and evaluate and approve new limits or exceptions in coordination with internal policies.
     
  • Ensure full compliance with established credit and collection procedures across the team.
    Conduct timely follow-up with customers—through visits and calls—for effective collection of due amounts, particularly for critical or overdue accounts.
     
  • Maintain strong relationships and coordination with banks to ensure smooth processing of collections, deposits, and customer-related transactions.
     
  • Handle and monitor all types of customer checks, including post-dated, certified, and returned checks, ensuring proper recording and action as per policy.
     
  • Perform credit risk evaluations and insurance studies for key accounts to safeguard receivables and support informed credit decisions.
     
  • Follow up on expected credit loss (ECL) reports and support finance in timely and accurate provisioning for doubtful accounts.
     
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to their account balances, payments, and credit terms in a professional and timely manner.
     
  • Hold periodic meetings with regional teams to review overdue balances, exposures, and recommend corrective actions.
     
  • Coordinate closely with regional accountants to ensure prompt and accurate posting of cash collections.
     
  • Monitor Letter of Credit (L/C) transactions and ensure all related commercial documents are issued and submitted on time.
     
  • Review all credit documentation for new customers and issue recommendations based on financial analysis and risk review.
     
  • Oversee coordination with the legal department regarding ongoing and new legal cases related to unpaid debts.
     
  • Ensure that all services rendered to customers are billed accurately, and all payments are tracked and recorded to support sound financial reporting.
     
  • Manage the quarterly balance confirmation process with customers to verify outstanding amounts and account reconciliation.
     
  • Conduct customer visits alongside the sales team as needed to support collections and assess account standing.
