• Manage all logistical flows and processes, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness and ensuring a smooth freight operation.
• Follow-up with shipping agents for freight quotations and shipment price lists.
• Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and regularly review freight and transportation costs to seek cost-saving alternatives.
• Provide the Export Sales team with price quotations within established guidelines for ocean shipments. 
• Liaise with shipping agents and other third parties to ensure timely and accurate import/export processes and paperwork.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate preparation of export orders.
• Work closely with stevedoring companies to ensure compliance with regulations, including the preparation and submission of required documentation.
• Reviewing shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Monitor and track shipments to their destination and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Ensure all logistics agreements are in compliance with company standards and objectives, as well as all applicable regulations.
• Maintain relationships with shipping agents, carriers, freight forwarders, and port authorities to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers.
• Resolve shipping-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, by coordinating with relevant parties and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure the updating of shipping records, tracking systems, and databases to ensure accurate and accessible information.
• Maintains and reviews logistics performance measures to drive continuous improvement and provide functional guidance and management oversight for logistics requirements and activities.
• Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
 


• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.• Proven 7-10 years of experience in Export/Import Logistics.• Fluency in written and spoken English.• Sound knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and freight forwarding processes.• Solid background in logistics issues, importing, exporting, and shipping line processes.• Knowledge of Incoterms is highly desirable.• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up on several details. • Excellent team management and leadership skills.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and shipping software.
