Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations in the cargo terminal, ensuring efficient Acceptance, handling, storage, dispatch, and of exported & imported cargo. This role involves Supervising staff, maintaining safety protocols, ensuring compliance with airport regulations, and handling round-the-clock flight arrivals and departures, he works in shifts under all weather conditions. Besides being knowledgeable in operating different equipment and vehicles, he must have good social skills and strong leadership and communication skills. 

Responsibilities

·      Supervise and control warehouse staff ‘’ Team leaders, handlers & drivers ‘’& Schedule shifts and Supervise workloads.

·      Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

·      Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage area.

·      Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

·      Ensure compliance with airport regulations and industry standards.

·  Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers, (Operations, local Customs, security).

·      Reports immediately to operation staff in case of any discrepancies during the breakdown or buildup of imported or exported shipments.

·      Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallets, ULD`s, jacks)

·      Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all shipments.

·      Be aware of special cargo handling (e.g., DG, AVI, PER, VAL).

·      Make sure that every shipment is stored at its correct location according to the nature of the goods to avoid any damage to cargo.

·  Organize warehouse operations based on warehousing situations.

·      Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance.

·      Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performance.

·  Any other job-related duties assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.

·      Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.

·      At least 5 years of equivalent experience in the same field.

·      Be aware of cargo acceptance and handling, and customs clearance procedures.

·      Have a good knowledge of aviation and Cargo operations safety.
