As a Financial Analyst, you will combine your excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles with a proven capacity for building, managing, and analysing financial reports and forecast tools. You will also need to be comfortable interacting with management across the organisation. You will be part of the Group Reporting team, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in building financial models, being involved in monthly financial closing reviews, providing finance support, driving processes, and reporting improvement throughout the organization. You must have the ability to identify business drivers, perform analysis, implement new procedures, and present to senior executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support;
- Assist in producing monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis;
- Support the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes;
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organisation;
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives;
- Assist in managing the Group reporting processes, including long-term financial and cash flow forecasts, monthly/quarterly business reviews, weekly metrics, and forecast updates;
- Support the analysis of business opportunities and investments;
- Participate as a key finance stakeholder in cross functional teams and promote best practice replication and adoption throughout the organisation;
- Lead project steps within a broader project and have accountability for ongoing activities and objectives;
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance.
- 3 – 5 years of work experience with at least 1-2 years focused on forecasting, planning, financial management reporting and/or commercial finance;
- Big 4 experience preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles;
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statements and drivers that influence the P&L;
- Demonstrated financial analysis and modelling skills;
- Strong data analysis skills with experience with SQL or Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluency in English is a must, Arabic is advantageous;
- Strong business acumen, attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- Demonstrated financial analysis and modelling skills;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work;
- Initiates timely action to address important issues;
