As an HSE Specialist in the rolling stock industry, your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are implemented and maintained within the organization. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential hazards, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement HSE policies: Create and enforce policies and procedures to establish a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations, as well as industry standards specific to the rolling stock industry.

2. Conduct risk assessments: Identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with rolling stock operations, maintenance, and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective control measures to minimize risks.

3. Training and education: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE practices, procedures, and regulations. Promote awareness of potential hazards and provide guidance on safe work practices, emergency preparedness, and incident response.

4. Incident investigation and reporting: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-miss events. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prepare detailed reports to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of all incidents and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

5. Safety inspections and audits: Conduct routine inspections of the workplace, including rolling stock facilities, maintenance areas, and manufacturing sites. Identify safety deficiencies, non-compliance issues, and potential areas for improvement. Coordinate internal and external audits to assess HSE performance and recommend corrective measures.

6. Emergency preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of emergency systems and response capabilities. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities and emergency services, to ensure a coordinated and timely response to emergencies.

7. Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to HSE in the rolling stock industry. Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes, procedures, and systems to enhance safety performance and environmental sustainability.

8. Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, contractors, regulatory agencies, and industry associations. Participate in meetings, committees, and industry forums to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and promote a culture of safety.


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or engineering. Main & Advanced degrees or professional certifications in HSE are advantageous.Proven experience in HSE management at Least 4 Years, preferably in the rolling stock industry or a similar high-risk industry.In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, and develop effective control measures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and educate employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to drive HSE initiatives.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports.Proficiency in using HSE tools, and systems for data management, incident reporting, and analysis.
