- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Responsible for managing the project time and cost data
- Preparing master schedule for the project and following up with actual progress on site.
- Prepare weekly and monthly report for the project showing points of strengths, weakness and corrective actions required
- Manage budget for the project, invoicing and Q.S
- Prepare guidelines for invoicing activities.
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding project.
Proven experience as construction project manager not less than 15 years expereince.In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.Outstanding communication and negotiation skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skills.A team player with leadership abilitiesBSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant fieldPMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
