Engineers require several advanced skill sets: 

 

Skills 

Application of sound engineering practices for all geomatics-related activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. 

Background in CAD drafting, data management, project management, 2D/3D analysis, and visualization. 

GPS/Conventional land surveying, data processing, and analysis. 

Performing survey calculations, including network adjustments. 

Conducting surveys & inspections in the field; which may include remote locations. 

Execution of mapping projects and integration of different spatial data sources working with multidisciplinary teams. 

Data Management, spatial analysis, data integration, and QA/QC of spatial data for engineering design. 

Working with GPS data, LiDAR data, conventional survey field notes 

Image processing and spatial analysis for route selection. 

Producing prompt and accurate mapping services and products. 

Compiling survey data, field notes, photographs, and maps into formal reports. 

QA/QC spatial data from various sources; including RTK/Static GPS, conventional surveys, and LiDAR. 

Coordinate and supervise the drafting of various plans and maps based on spatial data from a variety of sources. 

Performing spatial analysis using CAD technology. 

Preparing data quality/management plans, standards, and metadata. 

Assisting in the drafting of detailed work plans and hazard assessments for field operations. 

Performing any other geomatics-related activities as needed. 

Reporting to the Geomatics Field Manager and Project Engineer. 

Capable of handling multiple projects, working under pressure, and ensuring adequate quality of products and services provided. 

Excellent communication skills and technical writing. 

Maintaining excellent working relations and meeting commitments made with project team members, clients, and suppliers to support overall project quality, schedule, and cost. 

Self-motivated individual who can adapt to working independently or as part of a team. 

 

Job Qualifications  

 

Qualifications for the position include:  

Undergraduate Degree in Geomatics, Civil or related Engineering discipline. 

Experience in transportation, construction, and the energy industry is an asset. 

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office platform is a must. 


Bachelor's in civil engineering (0 or 2-year experience) - 2022 & 2023 only. East Cairo, Central Cairo, North Cairo, Heliopolis, Nasr City, New Cairo resident is a must. Experience with different CAD software packages. Experience with GPS, Total station, level Willing to learn and develop your technical skills fast Great attention to detail Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritize and work with multiple projects at a time while managing tight deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism Excellent communication skills Creativity and adaptability skills Excellent collaboration and leadership skills  Join MEEG and contribute to our journey of innovation and excellence in the realm of digital transformation and microengineering.
