To support the Fire Fighting Manager in the development of Standards, policies, and procedures applicable to fire safety management, providing advice and guidance on their application to the wider organization of RDMC and thereby helping to ensure a safe, healthy and fire free environment for all employees and passengers.The Objectives Are The Following To identify and support enhancements in fire safety and associated processes. Providing support, advice, and guidance on all aspects of fire safety. Developing and recording KPI’s related to fire safety to enable the monitoring of performance and the identification of areas for improvement. Development and delivery of fire safety training. Provide assistance to, and deputize for, the firefighting manager. Acting as a field expert within RDMC groups.Responsibilities/DutiesProfil de candidat recherché :SUPPORT FIREFIGHTING MANAGER FOR FIREFIGHTING TOPICS. Assist all departments of RDMC to achieve the organization’s fire safety objectives. Firefight in case of fire. Offer first aid when needed. Support the firefighting manager in the delivery of fire safety training. Support the firefighting manager to carry out audits. Carry out weekly and monthly inspections. Undertake checks of the fire systems and equipment. Support the firefighting manager to perform evacuation and emergency drills. Support the firefighting manager to prepare, implement and maintain fire safety plans. Assist the firefighting manager to coordinate and control activities in respect of HSE, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors.DEVELOP SYSTEM Support the firefighting manager to develop, deploy and maintain the local standards, policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with RATP Dev Standards and international standards. (NFPA / Egyptian code for firefighting). Support the firefighting manager to ensure that RATP Dev standards, policies and procedures are deployed on all levels.FIRE SAFETY COMPLIANCE Assist the firefighting manager to ensure compliance of on-site activities according to the safety plan, guidelines, and work instructions. Assist in undertaking legal compliance checks, inspections, and audits. DEVELOP FIRE SAFETY CULTURE IN THE SITE. Inform, instruct, and train employees to carry out their work in a safe way in order to prevent fires and injuries. Participate in the implementation of the fire safety training programs by providing inductions and ensuring Toolbox talks are organized.Safety Accountabilities Promote a positive Safety culture within the workplace and attend any fire safety related meetings/briefings as required within the job role. Comply with the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and Safety Management System. Ensure that all accidents and ‘near misses’ related to fire are properly recorded, reported, and investigated to determine the root causes. Submission of Hazard observations in accordance with Hazard observation reporting guidelines. Ensure that all potential risks that may come from performed activities are identified and mitigated and ensure that employees, contractors, and visitor are aware of fire safety procedures and any relevant legislation. Consider the safety of other persons who may be affected by your actions.QualificationsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (when required).Knowledge Experience in developing organization wide policies. Exposure to the railway environment and its operations and safety procedures. Prior involvement and experience in firefighting. An understanding of management standards relevant to the systems under his/her responsibility An understanding of risk analysis, assessment, and prevention. An understanding of standards in relation with Integrated Management Systems: ISO14001 and ISO 45001Experience Min 3-5 years relevant experience.
