1. Operations Management:

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, yield, and quality, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure smooth operation of all production processes and resolve any operational issues or bottlenecks.
2. Quality Control:
- Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that finished products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Implement quality assurance measures throughout the production process, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address customer feedback, complaints, and non-conformities promptly.
3. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Implement environmental management practices to minimize the plant's impact on the environment and comply with environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety and environmental risks.
4. Personnel Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of production staff, engineers, technicians, and support personnel.
- Set performance goals and expectations for employees, provide regular feedback and coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment based on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Resolve employee disputes, grievances, and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
5. Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
- Develop long-term strategic plans and objectives for the steel plant in alignment with corporate goals and market trends.
- Prepare annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans, and monitor expenditures to ensure cost control and financial efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, technology upgrades, and expansion projects to enhance the plant's competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive business growth and sustainability.
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.- Extensive experience in steel manufacturing operations, with progressive leadership roles and proven track record of success.- In-depth knowledge of steel production processes, equipment, and industry best practices.- Strong understanding of quality management systems, safety regulations, and environmental standards applicable to the steel industry.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals.- Strategic thinker with analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and lead the organization through periods of growth and transformation.
