Job Description

The Applied Innovation Center (AIC) of MCIT is looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable Hi-Tec software solutions. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Responsibilities

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
• Ensuring cross-platform optimization.
• Write technical documentation.
• Test software to ensure responsiveness, avoid memory leakage and segmentation.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software.

Requirements

•  Minimum proven 5-years experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with LINUX OS, Google cloud, AWS, Azure platforms.
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, SOAP, jQuery)
• Experience in multiple back-end languages (e.g. C, C++, C#, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, .Net) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache Tomcat) and UI/UX design
• Proficiency with Git or another version control system
• Strong experience in System Design, Multitenacity, Design Patterns and good background in Data Structures and Algorithms.
• A Good background in Deep Learning, NLP and Big Data is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Great attention to details and Organizational skills.
• Good command of English language.
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
