DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The job holder is accountable for the following activities during project execution by Major Project Division:

• To provide welding engineering, metallurgy and non-destructive testing expertise across the different Projects managed by the Major Project Division.
• To implement the Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes.
• To assist Projects in the execution of the FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction,transportation and offshore installation works.
• To interface with Engineering and Construction Department with the Technical Reference Person (TRP) for the management of Derogation impacting Technical Referential.

Skills

QUALIFICATION

• Qualification: Master’s degree in welding - ESSA / IWE / EWE certifications also required.
• Professional Experience (number of years) : 15 in a similar position.
• Experience within project : (number of years) : 10 years of experience associated with Piping and Structural works.
• A good knowledge of international codes/standards related to Piping & Structural design, fabrication and inspection.
• Comprehensive knowledge in welding, material, corrosion (inc SSCC) and NDE.
• Good leadership skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
• Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.
• H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
