Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chinese Translator role based in Ain Sokhna. The translator will be responsible for translating written documents, emails, reports, and contracts between Chinese and English (and/or Arabic, as needed), ensuring accuracy and consistency in terminology. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing source materials, producing clear and context-appropriate translations, and proofreading translated content to maintain high linguistic quality. The role involves supporting cross-functional teams during meetings, presentations, and negotiations by providing real-time or prepared translation support. The translator will also help bridge cultural and communication gaps, maintain translation glossaries and style guidelines, and collaborate closely with colleagues to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong command of Chinese and English, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in translation or interpretation, preferably in a business or industrial environment.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in terminology across multiple documents and projects.
• Solid understanding of Chinese culture and business etiquette, with the ability to convey nuance and context appropriately.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Competence in using office software and digital tools for document creation, editing, and file management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team on-site in Ain Sokhna.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
