Supplier Quality Engineer The Role As a Supplier Quality Engineer / Supervisor for Jinbei Egypt, you will be the primary technical liaison between Jinbei's manufacturing operations in 6th of October City and our local supplier network . You will manage end-to-end supplier quality activities, from supplier selection and qualification through production part approval and ongoing performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities Lead the selection, qualification, and development of local Egyptian suppliers to meet the 67–75% local content targets Conduct supplier audits (process, product, and system audits) to evaluate capabilities, capacity, and quality systems against IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements Manage the complete APQP process for new components and assemblies Oversee PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions and approvals, including dimensional reports, material certifications, and process capability studies Lead 8D investigations and structured problem-solving (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC) for supplier quality issues Track and report supplier performance through KPIs (PPM, defect rates, first-pass yield) and implement improvement plans Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) through closure and verification Monitor and improve supplier quality performance, including quality, delivery, PPM, and cost-of-poor-quality indicators Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams (Production, Logistics, R&D, Purchasing) Identify opportunities for waste elimination, localization, and cost reduction Conduct supplier readiness assessments before new model builds Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering.3+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or localization within the automotive industry Good knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodology Practical experience in supplier audits, supplier development, process validation, and manufacturing processes Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&TProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems Fluency in English and Arabic—written and spoken Preferred Experience with CKD/SKD operations and localization projects Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques Experience with electric vehicle component quality SAP experience Existing network within Egypt's automotive supplier base Supervisory or team leadership experience What We Offer Be part of a landmark automotive localization project in Egypt targeting 67%+ local content Hands-on role building Egypt's automotive supply chain from the ground up with a legendary international brand Opportunity to work with international quality standards and global best practices Career growth and leadership opportunities Competitive compensation package
