Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – NEAReports To: Senior Director – Finance (NEA & Iraq) Business Unit: ACCBC – North East Africa (NEA) Function: Finance / FP&ALocation: 6th of October, Al Jizah, Egypt Grade: TBC
Job Purpose To own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for ACCBC’s NEA operations, delivering credible, insight-driven financial analysis that drives P&L accountability, working capital discipline, and risk-adjusted commercial decision-making across NEA’s complex and multi-country operating environment.
Operating Context ACCBC’s NEA operations are anchored by Egypt as the primary market, complemented by additional North East African markets. The cluster spans large-scale manufacturing in Egypt and commercial distribution across the NEA footprint. The FP&A Manager operates within the following market conditions:FX Volatility & Inflation: Egypt's FX volatility and inflation require forecasts to embed FX sensitivity and current-reality costs, not static benchmarks. Pricing Sensitivity & Traditional Trade: Egypt's price-sensitive market and fragmented trade base demand strong grasp of price-volume and channel mix dynamics. Manufacturing Cost Complexity: Egypt's manufacturing footprint creates complex costs (production, utilities, imports, labor) that FP&A must forecast. Working Capital Intensity: High-volume operations and large receivables/inventory make working capital management critical. ERP Transformation (D365): The D365 rollout requires FP&A to balance current manual discipline with future-state readiness.
Key Roles and Responsibilities A. Annual Budget – NEA• Lead the annual budgeting process for the NEA cluster, coordinating inputs from commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations teams across all NEA markets. • Challenge assumptions rigorously to ensure the budget reflects realistic volume, cost, margin, and cash flow projections under Egypt’s FX and inflationary conditions. • Prepare the full NEA cluster budget pack including P&L, working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure, aligned to ACCBC enterprise budget guidelines. • Present the NEA budget for review and approval, managing revision cycles through to final submission.
B. Rolling Forecast & Latest Estimate (LE) Manage NEA's monthly LE cycle, consolidating cross-functional inputs into a credible forward-looking P&L and cash view. Ensure LE reflects current trading reality, updated FX/inflation assumptions, and material risks or opportunities. C. P&L Variance Analysis & Reporting• Own the monthly NEA cluster P&L review, preparing structured variance analysis vs. budget, LE, and prior year, identifying drivers of deviation across revenue, gross margin, manufacturing cost, and opex. Provide the management with actionable commentary, financial fact-base, and analysis to support monthly performance review meetings with NEA leadership. Track corrective action plans arising from performance reviews and provide update on progress.
D. Scenario Analysis & Downside Planning• Develop and quantify downside, stress, and liquidity scenarios for NEA (FX, inflation, volume, raw material, and supply risks) to support the Finance Director's decision-making and mitigation planning.• Continuously update scenario models to keep the Finance Director's financial sensitivity visibility current across all NEA markets.
E. Cash Flow Forecasting & Working Capital Management Own the NEA cluster cash flow forecast for the Finance Director and Treasury. Track DSO, DPO, and inventory days across commercial and manufacturing operations, flagging deviations and corrective actions. Deliver a working capital dashboard and feed FX/funding needs to Treasury proactively.
F. Commercial & Operational Decision Support• Provide financial analysis and business case support for commercial and operational decisions including pricing, investment, cost reduction, and supply chain trade-offs. • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed initiatives or changes, incorporating NEA country-specific FX and inflation sensitivities, and present clear recommendations to the Finance Director. • Support NEA country and cluster leadership with financial insights and data required for business reviews, governance forums, and stakeholder presentations.
G. Reporting & Management Information• Prepare and distribute the NEA cluster monthly management reporting pack, covering P&L, cash, working capital, and KPI performance. • Ensure all FP&A reporting is accurate, structured, and submitted within ACCBC corporate reporting deadlines. • Maintain and continuously improve FP&A reporting templates, models, and dashboards to enhance insight quality and reduce manual effort. • Support the D365 ERP implementation by embedding FP&A processes into the new system.
H. Team Leadership & Development• Lead, develop, and manage the NEA FP&A team, setting clear performance standards and building analytical and commercial finance capability. • Provide regular coaching and ensure succession coverage across key FP&A deliverables. • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the NEA FP&A team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Forecasting & Budget• Rolling forecast accuracy – LE vs actuals variance within agreed tolerance • Annual budget submitted on time through all revision cycles with zero unresolved gaps • Scenario models updated and available within 48 hours of a material NEA market event (FX movement, regulatory change, supply disruption)
P&L & Working Capital• Monthly P&L variance analysis delivered within agreed close timeline • Working capital KPIs (DSO, DPO, inventory days) tracked monthly with corrective action plans in place for deviations • Cash flow forecast accuracy – actuals vs forecast within agreed tolerance
Reporting & Capability• Monthly NEA cluster management reporting pack delivered on time with zero material errors • D365 FP&A process adoption milestones met within agreed implementation timeline • Team development plans in place for all direct reports with measurable progress
Required Experience and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (mandatory).• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling is essential.• Experience with ERP systems (D365, SAP, or equivalent) and BI/reporting tools (Power BI or equivalent) is required.

Knowledge and Skills• Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis, and forecasting capability with ability to embed FX and inflation sensitivities. • Deep understanding of P&L drivers, manufacturing cost structures, working capital dynamics, and cash flow management. • Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders across a multi-country cluster environment. • Effective team leadership and capability development skills. • High attention to detail with the ability to operate at both analytical depth and management reporting level.
