Company Description The Egyptian Satellite Company, Nilesat, is a joint-stock company operating under the Free Zone Law and headquartered in 6th of October City, Egypt. Role Description The BMS (Building Management System) Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for overseeing and optimizing building automation systems within Nilesat’s facilities. Typical tasks include monitoring and adjusting BMS parameters for HVAC, lighting, power, and safety systems to ensure efficient and stable operation. The role involves diagnosing system issues, coordinating maintenance activities with technical teams, and implementing improvements to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability. The BMS Consultant prepares documentation and reports on system performance, supports compliance with relevant standards, and collaborates with other engineering and facilities staff to integrate BMS operations with broader facility and infrastructure needs. The position requires consistent on-site presence to respond to operational events and support continuous system availability.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Building Management Systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of HVAC, lighting, and power control systems. Strong understanding of facility operations, energy efficiency principles, and safety standards related to building automation and critical infrastructure. Ability to interpret technical schematics, control diagrams, and system documentation, and to translate system data into actionable recommendations. Proficiency in using relevant software tools for building automation, control interfaces, and data logging or reporting. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to diagnose complex issues and implement practical, timely solutions. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, operations, vendors, and facility management teams. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in mission-critical environments such as telecom, data centers, broadcast, or industrial facilities is highly beneficial. Commitment to on-site work in Giza with flexibility to respond to operational requirements and occasional off-hours incidents.
