Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Design Mechanical Engineer role is based in Markaz El Wasta. The Senior Design Mechanical Engineer will lead the mechanical design of systems and components, prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and specifications, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, supporting site supervision with technical guidance, and participating in design reviews and value engineering activities. The role also involves contributing to research and development initiatives, optimizing mechanical solutions for performance and cost, and managing project deliverables, timelines, and documentation. The engineer will mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with project managers to support successful project execution.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with deep expertise in Machine Design. Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing detailed mechanical layouts and models. Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring engineering deliverables. Background in Research and Development (R&D) for improving mechanical systems, materials, and design approaches. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience in consultancy or engineering firms, preferably with exposure to building systems or industrial projects. Knowledge of relevant international and local mechanical codes and standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work on-site in Markaz El Wasta and manage multiple tasks within project timelines.
