Role Description The RAN Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Giza. The RAN Engineer is responsible for planning, configuring, and optimizing radio access network elements to ensure reliable coverage, capacity, and high-quality service. Daily tasks include analyzing network performance reports, troubleshooting radio-related issues, and fine-tuning parameters to improve KPIs. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support network design, new site integrations, software upgrades, and feature activations. The RAN Engineer also documents configurations, prepares technical reports, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and network evolution projects.
Qualifications

Strong skills in Network Performance analysis and optimization, including KPI monitoring and reporting. Proficiency in Troubleshooting RAN issues, root cause analysis, and resolution of radio-related faults. Solid understanding of Wireless Networking, including cellular architectures, protocols, and interfaces. Experience with Network Design for radio access networks, including coverage, capacity, and frequency planning. Knowledge of Wireless Technologies such as 2G/3G/4G/5G, and familiarity with vendor-specific RAN solutions and tools. Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Ability to interpret drive test data and performance logs; experience with RAN optimization tools is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to technical tasks. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, on-site teams. Willingness to work in field environments as needed and support occasional off-hours activities for network changes.
