Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Advertising Professor role based at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Banha. The professor will design and deliver courses in advertising design, including lectures, studio-based classes, critiques, and workshops that integrate theory, visual communication, and practical project work. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, supervising student projects and portfolios, mentoring students, and providing constructive feedback to support their academic and professional growth. The role involves engaging in curriculum development, contributing to quality assurance processes, and aligning course content with current industry practices and emerging technologies. The professor is also expected to participate in academic research or creative practice, serve on departmental and faculty committees, and collaborate with colleagues to advance the faculty’s vision and mission.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of advertising design, visual communication, and applied arts, with a strong portfolio of professional or academic work. Experience in designing and delivering higher-education courses, including studio-based teaching, project supervision, and student assessment. Strong skills in using design and advertising tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent) and integrating digital media into teaching. Demonstrated ability to guide student research and creative projects, and to incorporate contemporary advertising trends, branding, and media strategies into coursework. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment. Commitment to educational quality, continuous improvement, and alignment with sustainable development and information technology in applied arts. Master’s or PhD in Design, Advertising, Visual Communication, Applied Arts, or a closely related field; university teaching experience is strongly preferred. Evidence of scholarly activity or creative practice (publications, exhibitions, industry projects) and willingness to contribute to research and community engagement.
