Job Description: This position is of the technical team working with clients located primarily in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). The work will primarily focus on green buildings and energy modeling projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality energy models for buildings using Design Builder and HAP softwares.
• Develop high-quality technical reports/studies.
• Support the technical team lead in managing the details of the various projects Attend/ conduct meetings that involve technical issues with concerned parties.
• Communicate directly with the client to gather all required data and to resolve any technical issues.
• Coordinate with and manage the project team to ensure producing studies and reports up to required standards in the internally specified deadlines.
• Mentor specifically assigned Specialists and help them debottleneck the challenges they face.
• Enforce the internal work procedures agreed upon with the Technical Team Lead. Prepare a weekly updated progress report and communicate it with the Technical Team Lead.
• Immediately report to supervisors possible delays in the execution of projects or in the performance of assigned tasks and propose remedial actions.
• Ensure that all assigned tasks are fully accomplished and meet deadlines.

Skills

Qualifications:

• BSc. of Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years of practical work experience in sustainability and buildings design consulting
• Strong project management skills
• Holds or currently pursuing MSc. in environmental engineering / environmental sciences or any relevant degree.
• Experience in green buildings concept is a must
• Ability to navigate design documents is a must
• Ability to work on CAD/REVIT is a must
• Experience in energy modeling is a strong asset
• Experience in lifecycle assessment, daylighting simulations is an asset
• Good organizational skills and a goal-oriented approach to task completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and in writing (English and Arabic) with customers, regulatory officials, and co-workers regarding technical and administrative matters.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal direction and under pressure.
