About the Role:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Director with strong technical and leadership expertise in the Sheet Metal Industry to oversee and drive the entire manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will lead multiple production units, ensure operational excellence, and contribute strategically to the company’s growth and long-term competitiveness.
Operational Leadership:
Oversee all manufacturing operations, Develop and implement production strategies that maximize efficiency and output quality.
Lead and coach engineering and production managers to ensure high performance and accountability.
Strategic Direction:
Set long-term manufacturing goals aligned with the company’s strategic business plan.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Participate in annual budgeting, capacity planning, and capital investment decisions.
Contribute to new product development and technology introduction from a manufacturing perspective.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to streamline operations and resolve technical issues.
Collaborate with HR to enhance workforce skills and retention.
Build strong relationships with vendors and external partners for technology upgrades and cost optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).15+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the Sheet Metal or Heavy Fabrication industry.Proven record in managing end-to-end production operations, preferably in medium to large-scale manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and process optimization methodologies.Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and implementation of automation or digital manufacturing systems.Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a hands-on management style.Key Competencies:Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.Results-oriented with a focus on operational excellence.Strong leadership and team development abilities.Data-driven decision maker with continuous improvement mindset.Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight timelines.
