- Prepare, review, and submit all necessary customs documentation in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any issues or delays related to customs procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and ensure proper archiving of documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and import/export regulations affecting company operations.
- Advise internal departments on customs requirements and best practices for efficient logistics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements regarding the import and export of goods.
- Negotiate with customs brokers and agents to optimize clearance costs and timelines.
- Support audits and investigations related to customs activities as required.
2-4 years of proven experience in customs clearance or a related logistics role.Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements.Familiarity with the electro-mechanical or manufacturing sector is an advantage.Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.Ability to communicate effectively with customs officials, suppliers, and internal teams.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance.Proficiency in using customs clearance software and Microsoft Office applications.Problem-solving skills to address and resolve clearance issues efficiently.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.
