Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Import Logistics Specialist to oversee and optimize our import operations. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective international shipments while maintaining compliance with all import regulations. This role will collaborate with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Job Responsibilities:
Managed and coordinated international shipments, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with import regulations.
Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Monitor shipment schedules, track cargo movements, and resolve any issues or delays in the import process.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all import shipments (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists).
Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, warehousing, and production, to ensure alignment on delivery schedules and inventory needs.
Stay up to date with international shipping regulations, customs tariffs, and other relevant import policies.
Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency while ensuring product quality and on-time delivery.
Handle import licenses, duty payments, and coordinate with regulatory bodies as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 experience in import logistics, supply chain, or international trade.Strong knowledge of import regulations, INCOTERMS, and customs procedures.Experience with shipping documentation and working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred Skills:Experience in the Cosmetics industry sector, e.g., manufacturing, FMCGFamiliarity with ERP systems and logistics software.Knowledge of free trade agreements and international tariffs."Required experience in customs clearance and customs valuation, knowledge of the Nafeza system, dealing with relevant government authorities, and handling transactions with banks."
