You as Business HSE Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. You will be acting as a Business HSE Specialist within the HSE function for HVDC project sites. You will be promoting integrity, regulatory and corporate & social responsibility and driving and promoting HSE positive behaviors. You will be supporting the HVDC HSE operations and site teams in HSE related matters and the implementation of HSE programs and focus initiatives. You responsible for HSE reporting, analysis of hazards, incidents & other HSE KPI’s for global HVDC project sites.Your ResponsibilitiesSupporting the project HSE managers & site HSE team with the issues related to HSE.Supporting and participating in routine and non-routine HSE audits. Coordinating and promoting the effective closure of various HSE origin and related corrective and preventive actions. Reporting incidents & Hazards & promote the process within own unit & across Hitachi energy; Feeds back on lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across Hitachi Energy to management and employees. Engaging in incident investigation processes ensuring that causal factors identified have sound and sustainable actions tracked to closure. Drive and promote HSE awareness and HSE understanding within HVDC. Establish good exchange and collaboration with site HSE team and assist in HSE reporting. Share lessons learned as well as best practices to all project sites.Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).Support and co-develop for continuous improvement on HSE reporting and KPI methodology and analysis. Promote awareness and training of ISO Management System Standards as they apply to HSE Operations and Governance activity. .Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your backgroundDegree in electrical engineering / electronics engineering / mechanical engineering.Post graduation in Health, Safety & Environment. Proven track record of sales of Power Grid projects and products/ Post graduation with International or National Diploma in Health, Safety & Environment.Minimum 7+ years in HSE (Sites).Hands on HSE experience in any electrical commissioning projects / power plants / sub stations / construction sites.Sound knowledge on ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 - lead auditor certificate.Knowledge on MS Office, Intelex, IMS.Team Work, Analytical, Communication & Presentation skills
