Job DescriptionAs the Body Shop Production Engineer you will be responsible for creating a Workplace of choice experience by emphasizing on team engagement and effective communication. Leading from the heart to achieve the business plan objectives through effective implementation of (GMS) Global manufacturing system. Responsible for controlling and achieving production targets in terms of balanced scorecard for Safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environment aspects.Other responsibilities include:Fostering the proper and accurate implementation of company policies and procedures.Promote safety culture through conducting effective ESOT (Environmental and safety observation tours) and promoting hazard identification awareness.Participates effectively in the training, developing, and evaluating of hourly team members.Motivates, trains, and develops employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods.Leading the analysis of critical quality issues that affect quality scorecard with cross functional teams.Maintains awareness of quality standards, and communicates quality goals, and leverages resources to solve quality issues.Seeking to improve the production responsiveness and agility by reducing downtime, cost of quality and focusing on throughput improvement process.Manage and control cost metrics through improving VA, eliminating NVA and conducting productivity improvement workshops.Drive for a sustainable environment through saving energy, eliminating pollution, and aiming for zero-waste.Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience And CompetenciesKnowledge and Experience:Minimum 6+ years of experience on manufacturing operation with leadership skills.Previous experience of supervising hourly team.Previous experience of utilizing Lean manufacturing methodologies.Certified Six sigma is preferableEducation:Bachelor’s degree of Engineering.Skills:Strong leadership skills in terms of leading by example, taking initiatives, being collaborative, inspiring others and encouraging innovative thinking.Having excellent communication and analytical skills.Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees.Effective coaching and presentation skills.Competencies:Drive for ResultsLearning on the FlyBuilding Effective TeamsConflict ManagementProblem SolvingManage through systemAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
