We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Health, Safety & Environment professional in the Chemicals industry. As a Health, Safety & Environment specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and the environment within our organization. You will play a key role in developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will work closely with management to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks, providing technical support and guidance to ensure a safe working environment for all.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulationsConduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issuesDevelop and deliver safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practicesInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actionsManage and coordinate the implementation of emergency response plansAssist with the evaluation and selection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental management programsRequirementsBachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related fieldMinimum of [5] years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the chemicals industryStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software packagesProfessional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are preferredExcellent organizational and time management skillsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
