Since then we have continued to bring growth and security and safety to the country by upgrading these transportation systems as well as providing solutions for customers in air traffic management, air defence and Navy.JOB OBJECTIVEHeads in accordance with AIO procedures the following: As the Financial Director, the job holder directs and manages the Finance department of AIO, develops dedicated teams in different specialist areas of finance i.e. accounting (project and financial), tax, treasury, reporting, budget control and project controlling, and ensures that AIO books are timely, reliably and fairly maintained.It will be required from the new job holder to analyze and review all main activities managed by the finance department, to propose to the Chairman and the MD a transformation plan aiming at modernizing AIO financial department functioning and at enhancing the business partnership role of Finance.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND JOB DETAILS Financial accounting and reporting of AIOEnsure economic and financial factors are considered in all strategic and operational decision making.Provide necessary support to bid/project phase & sales and marketing teams.Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesDevelop, implement, ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies.Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.Coordinate the preparation of all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as necessary i.e. Mazars and Central Auditors of Egypt.Analyze and Develop where necessary an improved financial accounting system for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash. Where necessary, maintain and develop existing procedures.Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecast in accordance with AIO policy.Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, duly amortized, and disposed of appropriately.Manage AIO’s management accounts, review Monthly results and manage variancesEnsure that AIO’s Financial Accounts as well as tax returns are properly and timely managed, submitted and filed Bid & Project Management Controlling Analyze the existing Bids and Project Management Control procedures in place with the aim to propose and implement improvements the following:Perform Bids & Project controlling of all projects and opportunities,Properly maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports and secures and solve-out monthly closing issues,Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with contractual agreements,Provide accurate and timely reporting on financial activities of individual projects.Be involved at bid stage to validate costing sheets,Take care of financial engineering matters (bonds, insurance, guarantees, financing, forex etc) related to projects in progress and to new opportunities/bids Budget preparationSet up detailed budget timeline, fit for AIO’s year-end closure and launch of new financial year,Own the budget process, by consulting with the relevant budget and internal audit team leaders to secure a timely completion of budget activities. A detailed year-end and budget plan to be reviewed, approved and distributed not later than December 1st each year.Establish guidelines for budget and forecast proposals and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Managing Director. Strategic managementDefine and Implement strategies for Finance and business plan to address short, medium and long term financial needs of the organization, in accordance with AIO Management initiatives,Contribute to the decision process and ensure compliance with relevant statutory information for internal audit, and external stakeholder use and interpretation,Manage stakeholder relationships including bankers, auditors, brokers. Leadership and People ManagementEstablish, guide, direct, and oversee that departmental objectives are aligned with overall strategy and organizational objectives.Identify and timely address problems and seize opportunities that are central to business success.Lead and direct the Finance function staff (job responsibilities and expectations, new joiners integration, yearly performance reviews, committed teamwork, non-performance issues investigation and resolution)Establish and maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Risk ManagementMonitor compliance risk management policies and procedures to ensure that functional and organizational risks are minimized.Negotiate with banks for lines of credit or other financial services that are required.Implementing principles of transparency and good corporate governance. Board Member DutiesAs an Executive Board Member of AIO, the Finance Director will be expected to perform duties which may be required for the legal functioning of AIO. The Finance Director shall therefore familiarize her/himself with the Articles of Association of the company with the aim to fulfill the role expected from an Executive Director on the Board of AIO.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Experience Qualifications Master’s degree in finance and accounting.Experience in Project Accounting will be a definite benefit. Professional requirements CA/CPA/DSCG, CMA preferred. Experience 8-10 years of Senior Management experienceExperience within a multinational group is desirable. KnowledgeKnowledge of IFRS.
