Possess in-depth knowledge of safety law requirements.
Demonstrate high technical expertise in the operation and maintenance of all fire systems (fighting and alarms).
Utilize technical knowledge from a design standpoint.
Understand operational hazards and standard safety practices.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and report-writing skills.
Apply firefighting principles and practices.
Apply hydraulics to the operation of fire apparatus.
Adhere to Fire Department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Familiarize oneself with the geographical layout of the property and the location of hydrants.
Oversee fire salvage and overhaul operations.
Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments.
Promote safety practices and set boundaries.
Collaborate effectively with other City employees and the public.
Operate power-driven machinery, such as lawnmowers and Hurst tools.
Recognize hazards identified by fire diamonds through the perception of red, yellow, and blue colors.
Work in extreme temperature fluctuations while maintaining job performance.
Rely on sight and hearing abilities to assess emergencies and make operational decisions.
Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to oneself or others.
Perform precise and controlled muscular movements to adjust control mechanisms.
Observe and monitor objects for compliance with operating or safety standards.
Understand apparatus limitations in relation to response and fire suppression activities.
Understand the effects of fire involvement and spread for firefighter rescue.
Identify critical incident scene safety factors and address them appropriately.
Understand and utilize the Incident Management System.
Conduct monthly audits of all TMG hotels.
Monitor and work closely with operators on fire fighting systems.
Monitor fire alarm systems.
Collaborate with the Director of Security to check CCTV systems, elevators, access control systems, and security systems.
Maintain a good relationship with civil defense authorities.
Conduct fire drills twice a year per hotel with authorities.
Review safety programs in all TMG Hotels.
Verify records for all safety and security systems.
Direct the Rapid Intervention Crew for firefighter rescue as assigned.
Account for and track firefighting personnel at fire and hazardous materials incident scenes.
Address critical fire-ground safety hazards.
Respond to all emergency conditions, such as fires and power failures.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the organization.
Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by superiors.


Education and Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.Valid certifications in fire safety, such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Fire Officer I and II, Fire Inspector, or equivalent.Additional certifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Emergency Management, or related disciplines are a plus. Experience:A minimum of 15+  years of experience in fire safety management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality industry setting.Proven experience in managing fire prevention programs, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety protocols.Strong knowledge of fire systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and their operation and maintenance.Experience in conducting fire drills, emergency response planning, and incident management.Familiarity with relevant safety laws, codes, and regulations, such as NFPA, OSHA, and local fire codes. Skills:Excellent knowledge of fire safety principles, practices, and procedures.Strong understanding of fire behavior, hazard identification, and risk assessment.Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, audits, and investigations.Ability to develop and implement fire safety training programs for employees.Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and educate staff on fire safety protocols.Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess fire risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Proficient in using computer software and systems related to fire safety management and documentation.Ability to stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in fire safety.
