The Decorative Coatings Consultant will be accountable for engaging architects and specifying professionals and strengthen COLORTEK’s position of design and color leadership within a defined territory. The right candidate will be responsible for driving sales results and managing the project specification. Accountable for providing expertise, education and brand awareness for our portfolio of brands to the architectural community while adhering to COLORTEK’s core values.
 

Key Accountabilities:

• Contact regular and prospective architects and specifying professionals to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
• Recommend products to customers, based on customer’s needs and interests.
• Answer customer’s questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
• Estimate on quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
• Provide customers with product samples and catalogues.
• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor’s products, prices and sales.
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales quotes and reports, keeping sales records.
