  • Comply with all Legrand way radar quotation requirements (action plans, risk assessment, plant tour, safety visits, safety talks, subcontractors audit, near miss, H&S statistics, training, H&S committee)
  • Manage the effective achievement of HSE objectives through the leadership of the HSE staff– setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the HSE section.
  • Individual objectives, training and development plans in place for all direct reports
  • Prepare and recommend the HSE budget for department needs like annual contracts and external training.
  • Improvements to HSE department policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of HSE section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Follow the daily performance of HSE technicians and supervisors for each shift, providing instructions and raising their performance levels.
  • Train all employees on specialized and general programs that help raise the HSE Culture among the company.
  • Provide HSE Induction for all new employees.
  • Develop the safety signs as for location, effectiveness and quality and replacing the outdated ones with standard panels.
  • Reduce frequency rate of accidents.
  • Inspect on periodical basis on workplaces to identify hazards, pollutants & take appropriate actions to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct periodically HSE committee meetings to discuss problems and providing solutions.
  • Coordinate with departments’ heads in analyzing hazards, incidents and possible industrial accidents and setting a response plan to face emergencies and training.
  • Prepare the yearly training plan for all H&S topics.

7+ years’ experience in FMCG manufacturing, EHS, performance reporting.Project management and drive for results skills.Customer service mentality.Change management experience coupled with good analytical abilities.Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures.Strong analytical skills, ability to drill into data and provide insights.Strong internal and external communicator, written and verbal.‘lean’ Mindset with skills to drive streamline.Ability to set and priorities short, mid and long-term objectives.NEBOSH IGC certified as a minimum and NEBOSH diploma is preferable.Bachelor of Engineering/ Science subject. Postgraduate qualification preferable
