- Site visits, monitoring and tracking of projects at various stages.
- Liaise with the Project Team to assist in the execution of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering.
- Able to analyze the stable configuration of basic structural components of a building or other structure.
- Calculating pressures, stress and strain that each component such as beams or lintels are likely to experience from other parts of the structure or from external forces such as bad weather or sea tides.
- Familiar with the strength of various materials e.g. timber, bricks, concrete and steel and to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design, examining structures at risk of collapse and advise on measures to be taken to improve their structural integrity such as recommendations of removal, repair of defective parts or re-building the entire structure.
