Our team’s working scope includes written content that will appear on the TikTok For Business official website, external communication materials, sponsorship plans, marketing solutions, training materials, and articles posted on our knowledge center. We are currently looking for an Arabic Language Manager who is passionate about writing and has a proven record in content editing and quality control. - Create, transcreate, translate, and edit highly visible marketing, product, advertising, and legal content - Proofread translations delivered by LSPs to ensure quality and adaptation to local markets - Organize trainings and feedback sessions for translators from LSPs to give them clear and concise language-specific guidelines - Answer and maintain queries from LSPs - Define and maintain linguistic standards such as an Arabic localization style guide, terminology database, and specific localization instructions - Lead language quality improvement (QI) initiatives with other cross-functional teams - Liaise with marketing, product, content control, and sales teams to understand their specific requirements and quality expectations Qualifications - Fluency in Arabic at an advanced level is required for this position. - Understanding Arabic culture and society is crucial to ensure that the translation tone and style resonate appropriately with our end-users. - Strong English language proficiency is essential for success in this role. - BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is required. - 5+ years of experience in English to Arabic localization, journalism, copy editing, content creation, or online marketing. - Experience in UI localization, linguistic reviews, and translation quality management, is required. This role involves monitoring the quality of Arabic translations across all our products, making necessary improvements, and ensuring translation accuracy. - Strong syntactic and semantic skills to confidently make critical decisions related to translation. - Detail-oriented with the ability to balance and manage multiple tasks. - Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. - Familiarity with computer-aided translation tools such as XTM Cloud, Smartcat, SDL Studio, or WorldServer. - Knowledge of localization processes is a plus. - Proficiency in creating and maintaining linguistic assets for Arabic translation, such as terminology and style guides, is preferred. - Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams is preferred.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
