Job Description:



The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor in Global Affairs/Migration Studies. The incumbent will be offered a four-year renewable contract at the Public Policy and Administration Department and at the Center of Migration Research and Studies. Successful candidates are expected to teach courses on international migration and global affairs and international cooperation. Areas of focus for courses to teach include, but are not limited to, issues of migration and refugees in the Middle East and North Africa, public policies on migration and refugees, migration and refugee public institutions, the global governance of migration and refugees, citizenship and migration, and civil society organizations (CSOs) active in the migration and refugee area.
Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, student-focused pedagogy and experiential learning. Candidates are also expected to be able to supervise master's theses and to have a solid scholarly and publications record. They should demonstrate commitment to the University's mission and values.

Requirements:



A PhD in Migration Studies, Public Policy, Political Science/International Relations, Sociology or a relevant discipline. Priority will be given to faculty with evidence of an active research agenda and teaching effectiveness.
