Software Quality Assurance Specialist

2. Job Purpose

The successful Test Analyst will work within Fateel QA team providing the capability to test a number of systems developed both in house and integrated off the shelf products and third parties

3. Key Roles & Responsibilities

·       Reviewing requirement and design documents to identify testable requirements and test scenarios

·       Develop test conditions, test scenarios, test scripts and other test artefacts

·       Identifying test data requirements and preparing test data

·       Providing test execution estimates for test cases

·       Hands on test execution and defect resolution

·       Specifying test environment requirements to enable execution of relevant tests

·       Participating in defect review boards and providing assistance to relevant parties to resolve defects

·       Raising and managing defects in their entirety

·       Recording test execution results

·       Producing test scenarios and test API features using any tool (SOAP UI, PostMan, RestClient etc.)

·       Automate the functional, regression and smoke test cases using Selenium/ Cucumber

·       Executing tests and logging defects in Jira. Prioritise and track defect reports through to conclusion.

·       Analysing, reproducing and reporting on any customer reported faults in the software.

·       Analysing at what level testing should be completed to ensure the best quality product

·       Write and execute functional and regression, smoke, and sanity tests

·       Profiling/debugging using XCode, Android Studio, and Proxy tools

·       Log bugs and investigate when and how introduced, prioritising issues correctly

·       Maintain, expand and document the automated test frameworks

·       Collaborating with the wider QA team to execute manual/automated regression of cross-team applications

·       Work with development teams to ensure applications are tested to the right level of acceptance

4. Desired Competencies

·       4 - 5 years of experience in software testing

·       Experience of testing API’s, Mobile & Web Applications

·       A demonstrable knowledge and understanding of scrum development methodolgy

·       Ability to balance multiple tasks and schedules and report the status of these.

·       A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.

·       Inquisitive in nature, eager to explore and understand existing applications / systems.

·       Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
