Job Purpose:

oversee and support the day-to-day operation of computer systems and networks throughout the organization, ensuring reliable performance and data integrity in local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and organization intranets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

• Implement policies and procedures related to IT department to support the mission and objectives
• Recommend accurate IT resources specs to all employees levels
• Assist in developing and managing the IT infrastructure stack considering areas of synergy across the group
• Support in developing an annual IT budget to support the objectives set out by the IT strategy and consequent
• annual implementation plan
• Set boundaries of data pertaining according to users authority level to identify the required access to system and network

Systems & Networks

• Responsible for the implementation of system requirement sheet whenever a new ERP is required, and lead the
• evaluation, selection of the service provider
• Support the migration to new ERPs where needed
• Recommend suppliers/ service providers when sourcing for new services or updating current ones
• and supervise services.
• Monitor, audit and assess existing IT software to ensure optimal usage
• Handle the maintenance of critical database servers on monthly basis
• Supervise the installation and upgrading of all software, hardware, cabling, terminals, and networking to meet
• users needs.
• Monitor system performance for all internal users and servers on monthly basis
• Handle the maintenance of critical database servers on monthly basis
• Trouble shoot and solve problems related to software and networks
• Manage the organizations network and ecosystem to ensure minimal disturbance to daily operations

IT Hardware

• Manage, control and ensure uniformity of all IT-related hardware assets including laptops, mobiles, accessories,
• servers, etc.
• Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers of hardware to ensure cost efficiency and favorable payment
• terms/warranty
• Oversee the IT helpdesk to ensure SLA is handled within targeted time frames.
• Overlook the installation and upgrading of all software, hardware, cabling, terminals, and networking to meet users needs.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures for all IT users
• Audit users activities on company IT assets to ensure compliance

Cyber security & risk mitigation

• Cyber security training, testing, and communication
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Manage disaster recovery plans, firewalls and back ups to ensure business continuity
• Administer Firewall and overall internal network security, while planning and maintaining highly technical, logical network configuration of routers and switches associated with network traffic.
• Conduct stress tests on IT infrastructure to assess cyber security threats and risks
• Set & Develop plans related to cyber security and ensure the training and testing of IT users
• Research frequently research trends which may affect business continuity and propose mitigation scenarios

Managerial responsibilities

• Maintain team to highest level of performance by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training IT employees
• Mentor and coach subordinates to instill company principles with an eye on succession planning, growth opportunities and T&D needs
