We are looking for a Local Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in New Cairo. As a Local Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing & sourcing for our food and beverage. You will collaborate with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the local market and be able to source high-quality products at competitive prices. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure the smooth operation of the purchasing process.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales to identify purchasing needs and requirements
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms of payment
- Review and approve purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints
- Monitor and track supplier performance, including on-time delivery and product quality
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers, such as late deliveries or defective products
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and changes in the food and beverage industry
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any billing issues
- Coordinate with other departments to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the food and beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of local suppliers and market trends in Egypt
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software
